Did you hear the news?
iParenting has now joined the Disney Online Family network of sites!
We are pleased to announce our new extended family, and we look forward to providing you with the same trusted resources you expect from iParenting, along with a wealth of new information. After all, who knows families better than Disney?

Signup for a Diary - Duties and Obligations

We're glad you're interested in keeping a diary on the iParenting network!

Keeping a diary allows you to capture your family's journey, preserving it for years to come. Journaling offers a creative outlet for your parental joys and frustrations. Perhaps best of all, diary writing is a great way to get the most out of the iParenting community. Through your own personal message board, you can get feedback and insight from your readers. Many diary writers develop strong friendships with other diary writers and readers.

What does diary writing involve?

We understand your first priority is your growing family. As a result, we do not place a minimum word count on your entries. This makes it easy to post at least one new entry weekly, which we strongly encourage. We ask that you keep the subject matter related to parenting and family life, although the occasional vent or joyful outburst unrelated to parenting is fine. Aside from writing, you'll want to check and post on your personal "Talk to Me" forum, which is located in our message board community, on a regular basis.

iParenting diary writers are high-profile community members who share their lives in an effort to record and celebrate parenthood. We hope you'll consider becoming a part of this vibrant group!

What do I need to do?

1. Maintain your diary and add to it on a weekly basis with updates from your personal experiences. You may post once a week or more.

2. Keep your content within the realm of parenting and family issues. We all have different religious, political and personal values, but this is the place to discuss parenting and family issues. Please stay focused on that topic.

3. Maintain and post to your exclusive Talk to Me forum on our message boards. When you sign up, a forum is automatically created just for you. Youre an author with readers you can interact with! On your Talk to Me board, your readers reply to your entries or post new threads, and you can talk to your audience, friends or other folks who happen by. Every time someone posts to your forum, you will receive an email informing you of their post. Please login and reply in a timely manner.

4. Have fun. Parenting is all about the journey. There are many stops along the way, but the joy of the journey is what it's all about!
