Nancy is proud mom to Jorden and twins Collin and Morgan
November 30, 1999
My name is Nancy. I recently turned 34 years old. I am married to my dear husband, Daryl, since October 1991. We graduated from high school together, but weren't exactly high school sweethearts.
I am the proud mom of our dear son Jorden who is in kindergarten this year. We recently added our b/g twins to the family in September 2003.
Our babies, Collin (boy) and Morgan (girl), entered the world via c-section on September 12th. They weighed 6lbs 12oz and 6lbs 1oz, respectively. They are such a wonderful blessing to us and our families!
It took a long time for me to be convinced that I wanted to have more children. I really struggled emotionally after giving birth to our first son. I swore I'd never have more children, it was really traumatizing. My dh knew I'd change my mind and he was right.
We were planning to *start trying* to get pregnant with baby number two in August 2003. We were pleasantly surprised when we found out I was pregnant in January 2003. We were downright shocked when we discovered I was pregnant with TWINS at my first pre-natal appointment in Febuary 2003.
Collin and Morgan are four weeks old. Caring for them has been challenging, so far, but not nearly as bad as I thought it could be. They are both adorable little babies. We are starting to really see their individual personalities. I know I am supposed to cherish each moment of their infancy but when I think about all the milestones they will reach I get very excited! Our older son, Jorden has adjusted to the babies. He's really sweet and kisses and loves on them all the time.
I look forward to writing about the day-to-day learning experience that I've already discovered mothering multiples to be! I also look forward to reading about other moms of multiples and their experiences. That's all for now!
