Not-Going-Back-to-School Crafts
School Themed Fun for the Toddler Set By Kymberly Pratt
When the school bell rings once again, it can be hard for little ones to watch their brother or sister go off without them. Make your toddler feel like a big kid by making these fun crafts!

Egg Carton School Bus
You can shorten the egg carton and make several different kinds of cars using different colors of paint. Lay down black construction paper on your kitchen floor for roads and let your toddler drive his cars all around. You'll need:
Paper egg cartonYellow paint
Black paper
Small plastic cup
Pencil
Scissors
Black marker
Here's what you do:
Cut the egg carton in half, and then cut the lid off. You will only use the lid of the egg carton. Help your child paint the outside of the egg carton yellow. Next, let your toddler watch as you trace the outside of the small plastic cup onto black pepper. Repeat to make two circles. Show your child how you cut them out to make "wheels," or let him try using blunt, safety scissors.
When the paint is dry, help your child glue on the wheels. Write "SCHOOL BUS" on the side with the black marker. Now your toddler has his very own school bus!
