Snowflakes and Snowmen
Winter Crafts for Little Ones

A fun idea is to make the garland with 25 circles. Every day, have your child remove one for a Christmas countdown.
For colorful snowflakes, paint before adding the glue and glitter.
You'll need:
Small sticks
White tacky glue
Glitter
Floral wire
Paintbrush
String
Old shoebox
Here's what you do:
Help your child tie small sticks together with floral wire. Floral wire is easy to work with and very kid-friendly. Help him make a snowflake shape. After the snowflake is done, help your child paint some glue all over it. Hold it over the shoebox for him while he sprinkles on glitter. The shoebox will capture the glitter so you can reuse it and save on clean-up time.
Allow the snowflake to dry completely, then tie a piece of string to hang.
Use different size bottles and make a whole snowman family!
You'll need:
Clear plastic bottle (water bottle or coke bottle)
White paint
Black Paint
Paintbrush
Snowman embellishments
Here's what you do:
Make sure your water or drink bottle is completely dry on the inside before beginning this project. Help your child squirt a substantial amount of white paint into the bottle. Put the lid on and let him shake and roll it until the whole bottle is covered on the inside.
Next, help your child decorate the outside of the bottle as a snowman. Help him paint on a face with the black paint. You can use a small piece of scrap fabric to make a scarf. Look around the house for interesting embellishments such as old buttons, doll hats, beads, etc.
