You've Got Heart!
Valentine's Day Gifts to Make with Your Kids
By Kymberly Pratt
Take some paint and randomly drip it on the heart. Fold the heart in half again so the two sides touch each other and the paint mixes together. Open the heart and see the pretty design you have made.
After it dries put it on the refrigerator or poke a hole in the top and attach some string to hang it. Make several and decorate the whole house with them!
Puzzle Picture FrameYou'll need:
- Construction paper
- Old puzzle pieces
- Paint
- Paintbrushes
- Glue
- Ribbon
Here's what you do:
Fold the piece of construction paper in half and draw a large half of a heart. Be sure to draw it on the fold so you will make a full heart. Cut out the heart.
Fold the heart in half again and draw a smaller heart. You are making a frame so this heart will be as big or small as you want your opening of the frame to be. Cut it out. You should be left with a heart frame.
Lay the heart frame down flat and glue the puzzle pieces onto it. After the glue dries, paint the heart frame pink or red or whatever color you would like. Allow it to dry completely, then find a picture you would like to put in the frame. Cut it out to fit in the middle open hole in your heart. Before you glue in the picture, tie a 6-inch piece of ribbon to hang your heart then glue your picture in (from the back side).
