A Day to Impress
Ways for New Dads to Make Her Mother's Day Special

Anybody can pick up cheap perfume or a coffee mug, but leave that to the kids. She might not be your mom, but she is a mom (and the mom to your little one), and that is pretty darned important. Be a man about this and do everything you can to let her know how wonderful she is and how grateful you are that she is dealing with both you and the baby.
If you're still not willing to take that extra step, at the very least remember that Father's Day is coming up – you don't want an ugly tie or soap-on-a-rope, do you? What goes around comes around, my friend.
