Hemorrhoids During Pregnancy

What Causes Hemorrhoids?
Several things can cause hemorrhoids, including constipation, chronic diarrhea, abuse of laxatives, inherited predisposition and pregnancy. "There are two probable reasons that pregnancy makes symptomatic hemorrhoids more common," says Dr. Pamela Berens, a professor of gynecology and obstetrics at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston. "One reason is that the hormonal changes of pregnancy make constipation more likely. Women who are constipated and have more straining have more hemorrhoids. The other reason that pregnant women have more hemorrhoids is from the increased venous pressure caused by the enlarging pelvic mass."

And unfortunately, if a woman has hemorrhoids prior to delivery, they can get much worse after. Even if hemorrhoids are avoided during pregnancy, they can develop after delivery due to pushing – even during a C-section. And this troublesome annoyance can remain a problem for up to two months after delivery.

Dehn says most of her patients can tell if they have an external hemorrhoid because they can feel one or more small bumps or something that feels like extra flaps of skin at the rectal opening when they wipe or wash. "They can be quite painful and prevent women from sitting down comfortably," she says. "They can also itch if any residual stool gets trapped around the extra folds of skin. It's often hard to clean the area well, especially after a delivery, as everything is more delicate. Usually people with internal hemorrhoids know that there's something amiss because they may have pain with bowel movements or see small streaks of blood on toilet paper."

I had them really bad with both of my boys, the second one especially. I tried the increase in fiber, the pads, the creams, nothing helped. They were still there after I had him and then I finally found a natural remedy that was a miracle treatment. I got it at http://8c2002qsr29y3w6cp9tm4mds93.hop.clickbank.net/. Seriously, I tried it and they were gone! So worth it!!
