Valentine's Day Fun
Recipes and Crafts Made with Love
By Kymberly Pratt
Note: If you can't find a floating candle, you could paint the rocks and spread them around candles on a plate and use it as a centerpiece.
You'll need:
White shower curtain liner
Paint
Brushes
Sponges
Decorative ribbon
Here's what you do:
1. Lay the shower curtain liner on the floor. You may want to do this a couple of days ahead of time so it has time to flatten out, which makes it easier to paint. Put old clothes on your child, and let him decorate the shower curtain with the paint. He could use sponges or do handprints, footprints, etc. Allow the curtain to dry overnight.
2. When dry, hang the shower curtain. The decorative ribbon can be threaded through the holes for even more flair.
You'll need:
Red and pink play dough
Pencil
String
Pipe cleaners
Wax paper
Here's what you do:
1. Lay the wax paper over your work surface to make cleanup easier. Help your child make different shapes, such as hearts, that are about 1 inch long and wide. When they're done, use the pencil to poke a hole near the top. Let it dry completely.
2. When dry, thread the string or a pipe cleaner through the hole to create a fun necklace.
